International big
screen sensation Chanon Santinatornkul is set to visit Manila for his
first-ever solo fan meeting entitled Breaktime! on November 30, 2018 at
SM Sky Dome.
Famously known as
Nonkul, his acting career started in 2014’s “Love’s
Coming”. Eventually, he starred in several local television series in
Thailand including his notable performance in the hit series “Hormones 3”. What drove him to
international stardom was his breakthrough role in the 2017 film “Bad Genius” which led Nonkul as one of
Asia’s most renowned actors today.
“Bad Genius” is a movie inspired by real-life news of high school students who
devised a sophisticated exam cheating scheme for profit. It uproots the heist
film structure to a school-exam setting, and features themes of class
inequality as well as teen social issues. The movie has garnered success across
Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia. It has
also topped the box office in the Philippines where Nonkul, more popularly known in the country as Bank from his role in the film, will be
paying a visit.
