Zubucon: Cebu's Famous Lechon in Manila

1/25/2018

Zubuchon is now nearer to North which is at SM Megamall!

Zubuchon is a well-known lechon restaurant in Cebu owned by Mr. Joel Binamira.
According to Mr. Binamira, their intention was to go back to basics this is why they only use back-yard raised pigs for leaner and better flavors. There are no shortcuts for them especially when you talk about artificial color or flavor. Their lechons are skin sprayed with fresh coconut water and hand-pricked before roasting it over wood charcoal. It is stuffed with the finest natural ingredients and absolutely there is no MSG added that is why Chef Anthony Bourdain called it “The best pig ever!” Even their skilled lechoneros take incredible pride in their craft!

Appetizers
Baked Scallops topped with garlic, butter and cheese (230php)

Calamares, battered and deep-fried squid rings (190php)

Main Dishes
Original Zubuchon Large, a classic roast pig (880php)

Ensaladang Talong, grilled eggplant and tomato salad with a vinaigrette dressing (130php)

Ginataang Langka, braised unripe jackfruit with coconut crème and salted fish (180php)

If you think dishes are pricey because of its prestige name from Cebu, it's a surprise that prices are fair for their serving and also service is really great and fast! It usually takes about 30 minutes on queue but it will be worth it!
